This is the F-150’s entry-level engine. It can generate 290 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque thanks to Ti-VCT or twin independent variable cam timing.

Ford’s direct-injection and port fuel system improves the vehicle’s power and efficiency significantly. The Ford engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission, with all-wheel drive available as a choice and rear-wheel drive as standard.

 It also has auto stop-start technology to save gas when the truck is stopped. It has a weight capacity of 7,700 pounds.

2.7-Liter EcoBoost V-6: 325 Hp, 400 Lb-Ft

The F-150 is available with a 2.5-liter V-6 engine with twin-turbo gasoline. This small engine produces 325 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque.

This power is generated by PFDI and Ti-VCT technology, as well as two intercooled turbochargers. The auto stop-start feature will help you save money on gas. This Ford engine has a ten-speed automatic transmission.

High-Output 3.5-Liter EcoBoost V-6: 450 Hp, 510 Lb-Ft

This Ford engine has 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque, resulting in a vehicle with a sporty personality. Power and efficiency are increased by features such as auto stop and start, PFDI, and VCT. 

This engine is designed for a fun ride rather than maximum hauling/towing capabilities. Nonetheless, it can tow nearly 11,000 pounds and haul up to 1,520 pounds.

3.0-Liter Power Stroke Turbodiesel V-6: 250 Hp, 440 Lb-Ft

Ford has used its Power Stroke technology in this engine variant. It can produce up to 250 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque.

These figures are not higher than in previous engine versions, but torque is delivered at a lower rpm. This Ford engine can tow up to 11,500 pounds and haul nearly 1,940 pounds when coupled with a ten-speed automatic transmission.

5.0-Liter Ti-VCT V-8: 395 Hp, 400 Lb-Ft

Lastly, the V-8 is powered by a 5.0-liter engine with 395 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. These Ford engines can be converted to run on gasoline – powered vehicles or propane.

This engine, which comes with a ten-speed automatic transmission, can tow nearly 10,600 pounds and haul 3,270 pounds.
